Frequently Asked Questions

The sitting is a structured conversation — in person at our Shenton Way office or by video call — in which we set out the pension landscape as it applies to your situation. We cover CPF Life, any private scheme entitlements, and older employer arrangements where relevant. Afterwards, we send a brief written summary. Many clients find this a useful point of settled reference, even if no further work follows.
Yes. Our Steady Representation service is designed precisely for this situation. We review the position, prepare the necessary correspondence, and act on your behalf. Where the matter can reasonably be resolved by quiet means — a clear letter to the relevant party, for instance — we pursue that first. Where formal proceedings become necessary, we prepare carefully and keep you informed at each step.
The work is conducted across two sittings, typically two to three weeks apart. The first covers the will and your wishes; the second attends to the lasting power of attorney and any final adjustments. Family members are welcome to attend either sitting. The aim is a settled, well-explained plan — not a hurried document.
The Pension Orientation Sitting can be conducted in person or by video, as you prefer. Representation matters involve a mix of written correspondence and, where necessary, in-person meetings. For the Lasting Plans service, at least one in-person sitting is advisable for the signing of documents, though we accommodate individual circumstances as far as possible.
Our three services are offered at set fees: SGD 165 for an Orientation Sitting, SGD 450 for Representation in Pension Withholding Cases, and SGD 330 for Lasting Plans. If a matter grows in scope, we discuss any adjustment with you before proceeding. We do not add charges without a clear conversation first.
